New Approach

A bit more research, maybe...

After several hours of looking over Ubuntu's source, I finally figured out how to change a few simple things, but I know now for sure that it will be a long time before I'll be able to make my own release that's very different from the original.  Ubuntu kind of sucks, you know.  I think I may use Linux Mint as my base instead.  It seems like a better built OS, much more user friendly.

The Beginning

I got the idea to develop my own version of Linux.  Because of its well-known reliability, I chose Ubuntu as my source for the project.  I may never finish this project, but I will be releasing Beta versions frequently as I see they are needed.  My linux development will be a secondary project to Alanaktion OS 11, but hopefully I will remember to work on it as well so I can make it available to those who want it.
